LGA/NJC Scale 4a SCP 9 - 10 Actual Salary range £17,644.66 - £17,943.90

Blatchington Mill School wishes to appoint a Technician to join our skilled and established team. We have technicians working with science, art, food, textiles, design and technology and wish to appoint an individual who is able to join this team with a particular responsibility towards our busy Art department working alongside several teachers.

This is an exciting time to be part of this successful and popular school, the Art department is well resourced with excellent facilities.

The successful candidate will provide technical, practical and administrative support, enabling teachers to concentrate on the provision of a high standard of teaching.

We seek an organised individual with an attention to detail who will take a creative approach to problem solving. Energy and enthusiasm, a flexible approach and a proactive attitude are all aptitudes that we look for.

The area of Health and Safety is a core consideration in our school, the technicians are instrumental in ensuring that appropriate standards are maintained and that checking, maintenance and repairs are completed in a timely fashion.

Duties will include preparation of resources, maintenance, cleaning of equipment and stock management. Previous experience of working in a similar role is desirable, ideally in an education environment.

This is a permanent, term time only post for 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
