Student Leadership
It is crucial that every student at Blatch is able to express their views on the issues and considerations of everyday school life, and we have an established system to ensure this is the case.
Every form group has two representatives who sit on a year group forum, to discuss all issues relating to the students in the year group. Every student can pass issues to their form rep to take to the forum.
From each year group forum, two year representatives sit on the whole school council. This group meets with the school senior leadership team to discuss the issues raised in year forums, and therefore has direct influence into the decisions taken by the school.
Finally, each key stage has a student governor, who attends meetings of the school governing body and adds vital student input to the governance of the school. Students are elected yearly by their peers and every student has one vote for the student of their choice. Any student can stand to be elected.
