Looking after and using your Chromebook [pdf]
Note that Students will need to be logged into their Blatchington Mill Google account in order to view the videos embedded in this document. 

Students are required to change the password given to them when their accounts were setup. Visit the Changing your Password on a Chromebook Page to find out how to do that.

EduLink One for Students

EduLink One is used for setting and recording homework. The link to access Edulink One is here and can be found on the Student Channel Homepage. Students sign into it by selecting "sign in with Google" and using their School login details.

SIMS Options

SIMS Options is the method currently used to select the Subject Options available to students. Information about the Options and how to select them can be found on the KS4 Curriculum Choices Page.

Google Workspace

Google provides various systems that are used in school. You can find a number of these by clicking on the link above. If prompted to log in to their Google account, students should use their school email address, which takes the form school_login@blatchingtonmill.org.uk and the password they use to log in to Chromebooks or computers in school. Google Email

Students use GMail for their school email. If prompted to log in to Google, students should use their school email address, which takes the form school_login@blatchingtonmill.org.uk and the password they use to log in to Chromebooks or computers in school. See Google Workspace section above.

Google Classroom

https://classroom.google.com/

Google Classroom is used during some lessons to share resources and to set assignments. Teachers will let students know if that is the case for a particular lesson. To access Google Classroom click on the link above. If prompted to log in to Google, students should use their school email address, which takes the form school_login@blatchingtonmill.org.uk and the password they use to log in to Chromebooks or computers in school. Homework Resources for Students

Homework set for students may refer to the Homework Resources Google Drive. This is accessed here. If prompted to log in to Google, students should use their school email address, which takes the form school_login@blatchingtonmill.org.uk and the password they use to log in to Chromebooks or computers in school. Passport

https://passport.blatchingtonmill.org.uk/

Blatchington Mill has a bespoke rewards scheme for good behaviour and results which is delivered via a system called Passport. Teachers generate points in Passport for good progress and behaviour and Students spend those points on a variety of items available on Passport.

Biometric System

The School uses a Biometric System (Fingerprint reader) to identify Students and Staff and allow them to spend money from their accounts in the Canteen.

Kerboodle

GCSEpod

Reading Cloud

A Micro Librarian System that gives access to an engaging online library for students and staff.

Sparx Maths delivers personalised intelligent maths practice, that is proven to boost grades, build pupil engagement and consolidate maths knowledge.
