Payment System Questions

The School has moved to a new system to allow parents to make payments called iPayimpact. As with all new systems, there are some initial queries arising from getting registered and familiarising with iPayimpact. We have compiled a list of Frequently Asked Questions covering these and the system it replaced, sQuid.

Q. Where can I found further information about registering for and using iPayimpact?

A. Information on how to set up your account and register your children with iPayimpact can be found on their YouTube Channel and Website.

Q. I have registered with iPayimpact but when I try to log in the message says my account is not validated.

A. When you registered, iPayimpact will have sent you a validation email. This may have gone into your spam folder. You need to follow the instructions in the email to validate your account before you can log in. This will come to the email address that you have selected and will appear from a noreply address with iPayimpact Registration as the subject line.

Q. I have topped up my child’s account but the funds are showing as “unapplied”.

A. This is a temporary situation whilst we move to the new platform and this will be resolved in the next few days without any action required on your part.

Q. The Unique Account Ref was sent to an email address that I don’t want to use with iPayimpact.

A. When setting up the account with iPayimpact, you can choose to use a different email address. It does not need to be the same email address that the Account Ref was sent to.

Q. I have received an email with an Account Reference to link one of the children in iPayimpact but I have not received emails for all of my children?

A. You should receive a reference for each child. Please check your spam folder in the first instance.

Q. I have a new button in Edulink One for iPayimpact, what does this do?

A. This allows you to access iPayimpact via Single Sign On through Edulink One. Details are here: Linking iPayimpact to Edulink One.

Q. I am trying to register with iPayimpact but the website is not accepting my response to the robot check Maths Challenge even though it is correct.

A. Please ensure that you do not have a trailing space or any other character in the box and then try an alternate browser if the problem persists eg. Chrome, Safari, Firefox.

 

sQuid

Q. Why has the school moved from using sQuid and where can I find the sQuid Terms and Conditions?

A. The school was given limited notification that they intended to cease operation in the UK on the 14th March 2025 and was required to find an alternative supplier that was compatible with our canteen systems in a relatively short time.

Q. The balance I was initially able to see for my child in iPayimpact appeared to have been transferred from sQuid which I wasn’t expecting, but now it has gone.

A. Unfortunately balances were not able to be transferred and if you have any balances left in sQuid you will need to apply for a refund from sQuid.

Q. I am trying to request a refund from sQuid but they are going to charge an administration fee
Or I am trying to request a refund from sQuid but they will not refund a balance of under £10?

A. We are aware that some parents/carers are having difficulties being reimbursed by sQuid. We are working with other local schools who are similarly affected and have agreed to seek legal advice.

In the meantime we recommend that you continue to seek a solution from sQuid. As always, if this is causing financial difficulty that may affect your child/children then do please let the year office know.
