Year 8 French Pen Pal Visit

A very special event was held at Blatch on Wednesday 3rd May. Our Year 8 students met their French pen pals from Don Bosco school in Saint-Cyr Sur Mer, a small town between Toulon and Marseille. They had been writing to each other since the beginning of Year 7, and they finally got to meet face-to-face.

 

They arrived at 9am under a glorious azure sky and headed to our sports hall for a morning of activities. We were really impressed with the way the students were using their language knowledge to get to know each other and compare school life in France and England. After a few hours of discussions and games, we said ‘au revoir’ to our pen pals.
