Brighton Food Bank Collection

A number of our Blatch students have been working hard over the past few weeks to collect and prepare donations for the Brighton Food Bank.

Mike from the Brighton Food Bank came into school to speak to our students about the work that the food bank do and how the students could help. As a result of this, our students collected specific items that they then measured out and packaged as individual meals, complete with recipe cards, that could be collected by families or individuals in need and taken home to cook. These meals included vegetarian chilli and a delicious curry.

Mike said, ‘The Meal bags have been amazing and have really made our clients feel that extra special and loved. Also in my talks to churches, businesses and other schools I have been telling people what Blatchington Mill have done!’
